The city has grown so much since my last visit 25 years ago. Felt safe walking around certain parts of the city and it was so nice. From watching the bats at sundown to the concert we attended at the Moody. So much to do in so little time.

Not many tourist things to do in Austin—can knock out in 2 days. So staying longer requires engaging in more local activities like Barton Springs and comedy shows. No grocery stores. Walkable for American standards—scooters helpful for further distances without a car. Otherwise, really enjoyed my trip. The capitol and Zilker is beautiful. Barton is amazing. The people are fun.

There was some kind of race traffic on Saturday at The Domain, and took us about 45 minutes to get out of The Domain and we were actually late to an Easter church service, but that wasn't anyone's fault. I have been travelling to Austin since the 1990's and love this town. The beauty of the greenbelts and the lay out of the city is appealing. There's great shopping, hiking, restaurants, concerts, parks - just everything for individuals or families.

Austin in April was great!
Austin in April was great! Weather perfect for outdoors activities.
LBJ Presidential library is phenomenal reminder of what a presidency can do FOR people. State Museum of Texas history also great exhibits covering all aspects of historical development. Driskill Hotel old and regal; very nice brunch available. Lady Bird Wildflower Gardens slightly out of town, but very fun space. (Native species promotion in the 60"s was pretty revolutionary!)

Austin is a beautiful city and I highly recommend it.
Austin is a beautiful city and I highly recommend it. Lots of great sights, fun restaurants and nightlife as well as friendly ppl and there is an abundance of things to do for every age group. I did find it a bit expensive but there are lots of great places to eat that are more affordable if you look around. A lot of ppl said you need a car in Austin but I thought it was very walkable and Ubers/Waymo (self driving cars) are everywhere and they are not too expensive. We were there in early March so the weather was great however we were warned many times about the heat later on in spring and summer.

Car rentals sounded reasonable BUT parking at hotel ridiculous rates upwards of $50.00 per DAY..KC your resorts policy...
Enjoyed the in town experience a block away from the Capitol..

Good restaurants everywhere..
The Metro bus was fun to use for shopping..

Location wise I think the hotel was in an okay spot, not too far from downtown Austin.
The room was fairly basic and the beds were okay for a few nights stay.
Breakfast is basic but we didn’t mind that and appreciated the small bite. There was a toaster, microwave and waffle maker along with coffee and juices.
The location is a plus. The domain it's a nice place to stay it. The bus to go to Austin downtown is 2 blocks from the hotel. Supermarkets and bars are so close to the hotel. It's a quiet and relax place
